Module 1: Save Soil & Soil Health Awareness

Echoing the spirit of Sadhguru’s Conscious Planet: Save Soil movement, this module focused on reviving the understanding that soil is not an inert base—but a living legacy. Years of chemical use, deep tilling, and unadapted cropping had slowly eroded its health. We wanted to shift the narrative from "farming land" to "healing soil."

What We Did

Launched Save Soil Circles, where elders, youth, and women shared how soil had changed in their lifetimes.

Linked these zones to crop suitability charts: cumin in low-salinity pockets, cotton in saline fields, pulses in degraded soils to restore nitrogen, and millet where water stress was highest.

Trained farmers to test their own soil using portable kits for pH, NPK (nutrients), EC (salinity), and moisture.

Conducted workshops on soil biology, moisture retention, and organic carbon, showing how microbes and organic matter directly affect yield.

Converted 1,800 test results into color-coded field maps—green for healthy, yellow for moderate, red for degraded zones.

Impact Across 5 Villages

“Soil is not just for growing crops—it is a living foundation.
If we keep it healthy today, it will feed our children tomorrow.”
